Sport played a significant part in my college life. When I arrived in '69 John Gribble was Games chairman. Captains included Bill Corrigan (soccer), Dave Davies (rugby), Jo Rogers (Hockey) and Sue Dudley (Netball). The footballers in my cohort were to go on to become the most successful in the college's history. Alan Sopp who had played for Chelsea, Mike Hawkes (Minehead) and Kev Kibbey (Dorchester Town) being particularly influential. Kev took over as Games Chair and soccer captain in '70. That year saw the following captains, John Jones (rugby), Judy Hayward (hockey), Hilary Pack (netball) and Phil MacLennan (table tennis). The late Geoff Dawes captained cricket. I took over as Games Chair for '71.
